St. Louis wants input on its north-south Green Line bus rapid transit

Open houses Oct. 19 and 22 (5–7 p.m.) plus a virtual session Oct. 26 on lanes, parking and station design.

The City of St. Louis and Bi-State Development will hold three open houses this month on the design of the 11-plus-mile Green Line bus rapid transit route, which would run from Goodfellow and Natural Bridge to Meramec and Jefferson with dedicated lanes, signal priority and larger stations, St. Louis Public Radio reports.

In-person sessions are Oct. 19 at RUNG for Women on Sidney Street and Oct. 22 at the Polish Heritage Center on North 20th Street, both 5–7 p.m., with a virtual open house at 7 p.m. Oct. 26. It’s unclear whether more than $90 million from a 2017 sales tax for a MetroLink line can be used for the bus project without another vote; Ald. Rasheen Aldridge has proposed putting that question to voters.
