Kirkwood’s arts center is losing money; nonprofit deal questioned

Nine years after Kirkwood bet $26 million on a downtown performing arts center, the city has lost about $225,000 a year on average on KPAC — far beyond early projections — while also paying about $1.3 million a year on the building’s debt, a Post-Dispatch analysis found.
