Cemetery Walk at Oak Ridge today (noon–3:30 p.m.)
The Sangamon County Historical Society’s annual Echoes of Yesteryear Cemetery Walk runs today, Sunday Oct. 4, from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery (1441 Monument Ave.), WAND and Visit Springfield report. The last tour begins at 3 p.m.
Costumed actors portray local historical figures at gravesites on a roughly half-mile route. The event is free; donations are accepted. Parking and refreshments are available. Details: sangamonhistory.org.
