Blues lose Toropchenko 6+ weeks; visit Blackhawks Tuesday

Upper-body injury from Friday’s win in Dallas; St. Louis (1–1–0) finishes its road trip at the United Center.

Blues forward Alexey Toropchenko will be re-evaluated in six weeks after an upper-body injury suffered in Friday’s 4–0 win at Dallas, the team announced Sunday (via The Hockey News’ Lou Korac). He joins defensemen Tyler Tucker (knee, six weeks) and Logan Mailloux (hand, eight weeks) on the injured list.

St. Louis (1–1–0) closes its season-opening road trip Tuesday at Chicago — the Blackhawks’ home opener — before hosting San Jose on Thursday.
