Bagent starts again at Green Bay; Williams out at least another week

Ben Johnson says Tyson Bagent is “the guy” Sunday vs. the Packers; Case Keenum backs up while Caleb Williams rehabs a hamstring strain.

Bears coach Ben Johnson said Monday that quarterback Caleb Williams will miss at least another week with a Grade 2 hamstring strain and that Tyson Bagent will start Sunday at Green Bay, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Case Keenum will be the backup.

Johnson called Williams “week-to-week” and said he is doing well in rehab. In Sunday’s 23–12 win over the Jets, Bagent completed 25 of 34 passes; he was picked off four times, though three of those were wiped out by penalties. Kyle Monangai ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
